The Australian Christian Lobby has pulled of a coup getting Tony Abbott and Kevin Rudd to repeat last election's forum which was telecast nationally.
"I am pleased to announce that Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Leader of the Opposition Tony Abbott have agreed to address the Christian constituency in a special pre-election live webcast on Monday, 21 June 2010", says Jim Wallace the ACL managibg Director.
"Make It Count 2010 follows the very successful Make It Count event in the lead up to the 2007 election, where John Howard and Kevin Rudd addressed 100,000 Christians at 846 churches across Australia via live webcast. Click here to view a six minute snapshot of the 2007 event".
"With your support, we are excited about the possibility of building on this success with a bigger and better Make It Count in 2010. It is important that we consider what values will define our nation after the election."
The Next Eternity will carry full details of this key event. ACL will once again be asking churches to register to receive the live webcast which will be streamed from Canberra.
"Please set aside Monday June 21 in your diary as a date not to miss and encourage your church to participate", said Wallace.
We look forward to sharing Make It Count 2010 with you on June 21.
