1 Tonga Child Evangelism Fellowship is training leaders to go into schools to teach Scripture. A number of students have committed their lives to Christ this year. Good News Clubs have been established to disciple those making a commitment. Open Air Campaigners will be leading Walk Through the Bible seminars in various school assemblies. 2Tanzania Student Ministry is thriving, with a vision of making disciples. Over 200 cells were established last year when students meet twice a week for teaching, prayer and breaking of bread. In the past seven months 1,352 students took the gospel to 79 unreached towns, planted five churches, over 56,000 people heard the gospel and 4,800 people became Christians. 3Cusco, Peru The recent devastation in Peru has created great hardship for many in the south with the floods and landslides destroying houses, harvests, bridges and highways. A local Evangelical Mennonite Church has established a Bread of Life program to a provide daily nourishment to over 260 children. While the children are being fed they are also introduced to Jesus through Bible stories. 4Egypt In a country besieged by fear of H1N1 flu, political and religious tensions culminated in seven young people being shot for their faith in Upper Egypt. But the Bible Society of Egypt has begun a huge distribution project of 150,000 free New Testaments to year 7 students.
